What you need for a woodworking shop? – Starting A Woodworking Business Podcast

In addition to the basic tools, you will need some heavy duty furniture, a workbench, a table saw, a drill press, a belt sander, and a variety of other tools. A table saw will let you cut up wood efficiently while cutting large pieces of plywood into precise shapes; a belt sander will be helpful if you need to build up large pieces of plywood in an extremely short time.

This year I gave up blogging for a while. This was probably a good move. I’d be tempted to resume writing in the near future but I think that might be premature. As a blogger I’m not the best at it – this means there was no one really to tell me what to do, to hold my hand as I made my way through the process and help me grow. I know that there is now a lot more of the same. People seem to be using all these blogs and blogs just seem too much like your Facebook feed anyway. I don’t know, but I’m just not there anymore.

I have a couple of things I’d like to post that aren’t on these pages or any of my other platforms:

I am really happy to announce that here in Australia you can now buy my books direct from the author website so that they stay around. So you can download them directly from my website. It’s my hope that this will allow the book to be out there for some of you to read as well. Just buy the book for those of you who want it. Buy other books, I suppose – I won’t stop you, just to be clear. We have books from many authors that come on e-books.

I am still doing very well as a publisher; some titles have had a good launch and I hope that a lot will see a bit of success.

When the US edition of my novel comes out this summer I’ll be bringing it with me. I’m hoping to do a little tour of the UK in the months that follow, and I’d like to hear from fans of the UK versions.

On a final note – I think one of my favourite films of the year is ‘The Look of Silence’ (2009), it’s a lovely film – a lovely film. Don’t miss it.
