My favorite price for wood is 3 for $5 or 2 for $25 or 3 for $30; these are based on the amount that I would buy. I would buy 3 pieces of a small log, a larger log, and a block of wood. The smaller size pieces are $1 to $1.25, while larger pieces would be $1 a piece to $3.50 for the same size blocks and my price for my own logs would be $14.95 and that’s $2 cheaper than any store.
How long will these take to make?
The average handmade wood project takes about 4 days total, so don’t spend more than 6-7 days working on them. I’ve made them in a day to be precise, though they can take 6 to 8 days to complete depending on wood, size and project.
How big can I fit my logs in my truck?
There’s not a ton of room for a log in one of my trucks, even though I can fit it comfortably on a bench seat (for smaller tasks). I’ve gotten in the habit of packing my logs on a stick with some sort of cushion or mat. However, you can fit your log if you pack it tight with your truck’s floor mat, or if you have a bench (which is often the case for someone who has a smaller or wider truck). When you get a large log you’ll have to decide if you want the log to be at a certain depth, or spread out as a flat log. You can get small logs with a flat surface to work on on a flat bench, like my log pictured above, a big one to work on at a level surface or some log you don’t mind a little spread out. Either way, this log will work best as a flat log, but it’s up to you. I often find flat logs to be a bit on the shallow side. You can put your log on a floor mat as seen above if you’re trying to find a nice log you want to use for the next project. The logs you can fit are going to depend on how big your truck is and where your work space is, so you’ll have to decide what is right for you.
How tall are your logs?
A log of this size and height you can expect to need about 4 to 6 feet on a good day. Some of the shorter or larger logs you can fit in a tall work area. Some like smaller logs you can
