What are the 3 purposes of dance? – Characteristics Of Social Dance

What is the essence of dancing?

What am I doing wrong, where can I improve?

I would like to learn more.

It’s time to start the dance!

What do I need to learn?

First of all, you need to find out who you are now. Now is the time to decide which one you want to be, which one your life path fits.

If you know you’re a beginner, then this is the time to find and start with a dance. A beginner to dance could mean someone who is new to dance in general or a dancer new to dancing in particular in order to learn basic dance moves and the more advanced moves to master. As a beginner you want to make that decision as fast as possible, but don’t let it be too late. Many of us do not want to wait until we are old to discover our skills as dancers.

Also, if you are a beginner, you need to understand that you will encounter difficulties with the dancing. There are plenty of people that are beginners but have serious problems dancing. In this case, they would need to do some research (even more of a choreographer) and see what dance styles they can learn, or you might find out that it’s so much easier to learn this way and stick with it.

What about me?

You start with finding out who you are and what your life path fits. This could mean you know your dance background but have no clue what you want to do in dance – this is when the journey begins. Here are a few possibilities based on your life path.

You know your own dance background but don’t get into any dances yet – perhaps it’s not even a good choice?

You’ve never danced at all.

You love to dance but you’re not sure how to begin.

Someone taught you, maybe even someone you know?

You know a little about dance, but not really what you want from it:

You know most dances but you haven’t danced a lot.

You know nothing about ballet, you just like dancing it.

You’re in a dance group and don’t know if you should be with a dance.

You know some dances but not how to learn them.

You’re very good at some dances but not at others.

You’re in a dance group and haven’t danced with anyone in months (or years?).
