A year later, I’m still trying to get my head around the new idea of the “social justice warrior” (SJW) — a group who has become an online favorite to mock and deride critics of the conservative “alt-right.” A couple of years ago, people who were angry with me for writing about the alt-right’s rise to prominence (which they took as an all-too-real warning of what would come since, of course, I wrote of how much better off women are now than they were 30 or 40 years ago), saw SJWs as an unhinged, hateful group intent on destroying our movement from within.
I, on the other hand, found SJWs to be quite the opposite. What I believed was more sinister was that this new group of social justice warriors was willing to actively work to help other, non-ideological members of our community.
The people of the alt-right, who generally hated us for what we stood for, were happy to welcome us with open arms. In return, I found myself willing to be as open when engaging with them.
Now that we have achieved a new and very real pinnacle over the past year — and I’m sure we will continue to do so — I have decided that I am going to write a very candid, non-judgmental, somewhat long-winded letter to Sjws. Here it is.

First, some caveats and things to take into account.
As an actual human being who wants to make a difference — a person whose job I want to accomplish — it is important for me to try to understand how this new political movement — which has a large following due to its combination of anger — and how it has evolved for the last decade.
Let’s start with what I would call the first four stages of a SJW. These four stages are: 1) Ignorance, 2) Distrust, 3) Apathy, and 4) Sudden, extreme, unqualified, unqualified, unqualified, and unqualified — and then getting offended that someone else feels it.
