What is better Photoshop or Lightroom? – What Are The Stages Of Editing

Here’s what I do in both…

Photoshop:

In this case I was using an open-source program called The Pro Image Editing Suite – which has been around for decades. I tried using Photoshop in a number of different situations…

Lifting a picture: In this specific case I wanted to lift a picture by simply tracing all of the lines in the picture. I did this with a program called Paint Shop Pro and I also used a program in Adobe Photoshop called Lightroom.

Removing noise: What really helped for this one was a combination of Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop and an app called After Effects – because this photo actually had noise issues. You see, I was adding noise to it with the Layers panel in Paint Shop Pro and then I used that to add some noise in post-production – but in Camera Raw.

Here’s the final result. I did not remove any noise with Lightroom – I just used it in Photoshop

Lightroom:

Let’s get back to what you were asking about. If you want to remove noise from a photo, you’re going to need the right tools to help you. If you want to remove noise from a photo, you’re going to need to use the correct tools to get the desired result.

So, using my tools above, I can remove any kinds of noise, from fine white lines to grainy dirt at the edges of a shot to even a slight bit of red and green around the edges of a picture.

To help you with this, I want to give you an example of my work – you see how I removed a couple of lines from the side of this photograph using the Brush Selection Tool – the first part of the picture is the original photo without any noise. The second part of the image was where I removed noise, which was with the Layers panel in Photoshop. So, just like I would do with any photo, I used a tool called the Brushes Panel…

Here’s an example of one of my Brushes…

Just by looking at that, you can see what I’m basically focusing on with a Brush Tool – I’m making sure that the grainy dirt is removed and there is no noise. If you want to see the image in Photoshop, you can see in the image below.

In this example it’s just me removing one particular line – that is, the line at the bottom. In a moment I’m going to show
